Each creation aims to educate and inspire, preserving the beauty of our world.
With 20 years as a graphic designer and a decade illustrating children’s books, I’ve shifted my focus to conservation, using my skills as an illustrator and painter to raise awareness through captivating visual media. My artwork champions healthy habitats for animals in oceans, rainforests, and beyond, advocating for species in fragile or endangered ecosystems.
Growing up in Northern Colorado, I rarely visited the coast but was endlessly curious about the beach and what lay beneath the waves, often relying on photography to explore. In 1996, a transformative trip to Costa Rica introduced me to the vibrant ecosystems of La Selva Biological Station, a primary dry forest, and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. There, I was captivated by diverse insects, plants, and animals, snapping countless photos of crabs and other creatures along the shore. The ocean’s rhythmic waves, the scent of salty air, and the warmth of the sun left an indelible mark. From that moment, I vowed to dedicate my life to protecting these sacred environments.
